LGBTQ+ Family Photography in Denver — Inclusive, Affirming, and Heartfelt

If you’re here, you might be excited about documenting your relationship — and still unsure.
You may have worried about being misgendered, misunderstood, or asked to fit a traditional mold.
You might not see your relationship reflected in typical “couples photography.”
And the idea of posing or performing cookie-cutter intimacy may feel uncomfortable or inauthentic.

For queer, trans, and non-traditional relationships, being photographed comes with extra layers.

Visibility, safety, and trust matter deeply.

Affirming photography for LGBTQ+ families — created with care, presence, and respect for how your family loves and lives.

Families don’t all look the same — and they don’t need to.

If you’re here, you might be excited about documenting your family — and still unsure.

You may not see families like yours reflected in typical photography, or you may worry about being misunderstood or asked to fit a mold.

Thoughtful, affirming photo sessions for LGBTQ+ families — including chosen family and non-traditional family structures — rooted in care and presence.

We move at your pace.

Room to be together as you are.

The result is images that feel honest and lived-in.

What if your family photos reflected who you truly are together — without posing or performing for the camera?

These sessions honor the ways your family naturally connects, making space for moments that feel honest, safe, and quietly meaningful.

What you receive is imagery rooted in your family’s truth, not expectation.

yes, we need this!

In their words

"Brody was so amazing - we highly recommend!"

My family had not done photos together so this was a new experience for us so going in we didn’t quite know what to expect. With Brody they put us at ease, let us be ourselves and most importantly captured truly beautiful photographs.

Your Memories Cherished

Within three weeks, you’ll receive your complete online gallery.
Each image is edited with care, and your photos are yours to keep, share, return to, and remember — quiet reminders of what this season of your family felt like to hold on to for all time.

Our time together begins with a conversation.
I’ll get to know your family — what feels meaningful, what matters, and anything you’d like me to be mindful of — so we can choose a setting that feels supportive.

*If you’re looking for something brief and structured, you’re welcome to book the Low-Key Session directly here.

More about brody

I’m a queer, non-binary parent and photographer who understands that families don’t come in just one format.

My work is grounded in respect for how families actually connect — through care, routines, affection, and everyday moments.
I create space where you don’t have to explain or justify your family, and where everyone involved is met with care.

I’m here to document your family as you are, in all of your complexity and joy.

Do you photograph weddings?

Absolutetly. My favorite kind of wedding is a mellow, backyard or chill elopement style wedding, but I am open to many different kind of queer love ceremonies/events. Feel free to reach out via the contact form to see if we may be a good fit for your big day!

What happens after I fill out the contact form?

I’ll personally read your message and respond within 24 hours.
You can expect a thoughtful reply with next steps, session options, and space to ask any questions.

I’m neurodivergent. Can photo sessions be adapted for that?

Yes. Neurodivergence is fully welcome here.
We can talk ahead of time about pacing, sensory needs, communication preferences, and what helps you feel most at ease. Sessions can be structured, flexible, quiet, or brief depending on what supports you best.

What should I wear?

Wear what helps you feel most like yourself.
Comfort and ease matter more than any specific look. Clothes you’ve felt good in before, simple layers, and easy movement tend to work well.

You don’t owe the camera a certain style or gender expression.
If you’d like, you’re welcome to bring several  options and we can decide together. This is another perk of at-home sessions- you have everything you need in your closet!

why does this feel vulnerable?

Being photographed can feel vulnerable — our brains are wired to scan for safety when we’re seen. We’ll move with care, check in often, and adjust the approach as needed.

You’re never expected to push through discomfort. My job is to encourage and reassure you that you are welcome to be yourself here - side notethis is the part I love the most because it can be so healing.

Can I bring a partner, friend, or support person?

Yes.
You’re welcome to bring someone who helps you feel more at ease. They can be present throughout the session or step in and out as needed — whatever feels most supportive to you.

Are all images really included?

Totally.
You’ll receive your online photo gallery that is thoughtfully edited and complete. There are no selections, upsells, or additional purchases. Your images are yours to keep.

Do you share images publicly?

Only with your permission.
Nothing is ever posted without a clear yes. If you’re open to it, I may reach out after you’ve seen your gallery to ask about sharing a few images — often to help other queer folks see themselves reflected and feel welcomed here. It’s always optional.
